IBC is very
active in its financial support of missions. Not everyone can go world wide, so we help those who can and are called.
We give 13% of our receipts from offerings to support missions through the Southern Baptist Convention. Annually
we take three special offerings for missions that are named for missionaries (Annie Armstrong, Lottie Moon, Edna McMillan).
We also budget to support: the BCM at NOC, Cody and Melissa Biby (MSC Missionaries at Adams State College), Mark and
Brenda Brown with Faculty Commons, Pastor Raju in India, state mission work and our own church planting effort in
Guadalajara, Mexico, along with many local projects. When we are able to have missionaries come to IBC to share with
us, we always take a special offering to help support them.
We want to do our part
in participating in mission work which includes:
- Food pantry
- Coat closet
- Benevolence Ministry
- Member church in BAMA (Blackwell Area Ministerial Alliance)
- Free booth at the Kay County Free Fair
- Mission trips to Guadalajara,
- Outreach Projects
- Men's Ministry Projects
- Members serving on the
Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief Teams
- Other mission trips
by individuals and church groups
Other Ministry Projects
IBC has taken offerings for the Moore
Tornado victims and also delivered water and other supplies to the relief efforts.
Our church (and others)
served as a collection point for supply efforts.
Oklahoma Baptists were some of the very first on the scene.
Our Disaster Relief Teams are leading in the efforts.
IBC has members on the DR Teams and has supported the efforts.
Local Ministry Project October 2009
Men's Ministry puts a roof on for a needy family. The Lord provided the finances through IBC members.
